Hydrogenated castor oil, also known as castor flakes, is a solid, white or off-white waxy substance derived from castor oil through hydrogenation. It has a higher melting point and is insoluble in water. Used widely in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial applications, it acts as an emollient, thickening agent, and lubricant.
