Dicyandiamide (Dicy)
Dicyandiamide (DICY) is a white crystalline compound, scientifically known as cyanoguanidine, that exhibits strong alkalinity and solubility in water. It is the dimer of cyanamide or cyanoguanidine and finds primary application in melamine production. Additionally, DICY serves as a curing agent for epoxy resins and laminates used in circuit boards, powder coatings, and adhesives.
